Glauco Mattoso em O Manual do Podólatra Amador: a identidade estética do autor-narrador-personagem

Abstract

Este artigo tem como objeto de estudo o processo identitário construído pelo escritor Glauco Mattoso em o Manual do podólatra amador: aventuras & leituras de um tarado por pés – narrativa importante dentro do conjunto de sua obra, publicada em duas edições, 1986 e 2006. Com nuanças perceptíveis, Mattoso reedita sua “autobiografia” vinte anos depois, sem interferir na característica de uma narrativa desconcertante e confessional, mas alterando aspectos críveis, configurando-se, assim, como um texto de escrita autoficcional. Com reflexões a partir do olhar da Epistemologia do Romance, buscou-se, neste trabalho, compreender os elementos estéticos que levam à criação identitária do sujeitoautor, cujo gesto inicial está na estetização da figura do “eu”, contribuindo para a ficcionalização de si, dentro e fora do espaço literário.

This article studies the identity process constructed by the writer Glauco Mattoso in Manual of the Amateur Foot Fetishist: Adventures & Readings of a Foot Fetishist – an important narrative within his body of work published in two editions, 1986 and 2006. With noticeable nuances, Mattoso republishes his “autobiography” twenty years later without interfering with the characteristic of a disconcerting and confessional narrative but altering credible aspects, thus transforming it into an auto-fictional text. In accordance with reflections from the perspective of the Epistemology of the Novel, this work seeks to understand the aesthetic elements that lead to the identity creation of the subject-author, whose initial gesture lies in the aesthetics of the “I” figure, contributing therefore to its fictionalisation in and out the literary space.
