Contributos para uma reflexão sobre o desporto escolar

Abstract

A participação dos jovens no desporto, tanto a nível Regional como nacional, é baixa e tem levado alguns investigadores a interrogarem-se pelas razões que levam a esta realidade, tanto na escola como fora dela. Neste trabalho procuramos uma reflexão sobre a realidade escolar, tanto ao nível das oportunidades de participação desportiva oferecidas pela escola, como ao nível da qualidade da oferta, de modo a percebermos as barreiras que impedem uma significativa maioria de jovens de aderirem a uma participação efetiva ao Desporto na Escola.
